One of my interests in having a flexible website is to try to showcase what is possible for 'non-techies' to do.
There have been massive advances in the last few years in ease of use of many programs on computers.
My favorite find of the day is: www.prezi.com
It is a very exciting tool for getting away from 'death by powerpoint' when you have to give a presentation. you can be creative and flexible (you can create areas you only go to if the audience doesn't know about the area etc).
And it is very pretty.
Also on their site are many presentations others have developed which are really useful:
is a clear talk with videos on the plusses and minuses of social media (often known as twitter and facebook - but its more complicated than that).
http://prezi.com/web-20-in-the-classroom/
is a great presentation with modern teaching tools - could be useful for your tutors etc
There are many many more and you can add yours once its done.
You can also download, print, upload pictures etc.
I hope you have fun with Prezi, i know I'm going to.
