I've been getting enquiries about people who have their RTO audit in the near future and have had questions and suggestions to a successfull audit.
Some useful tips so far include:
- * Check your RTO certificate for the date when your registration will run out. If its soon, so is your audit.
- * If you have an audit coming up you must send the fee of $2000 to pay for the auditor (before they'll send the auditor).
- * ACFE audits are very different to AQTF audits and have very different requirements.
- * Check your scope of registration, under AQTF2007 you can be audited for any course on your scope and you should be deleivering ALL courses on your scope. (apparently it is not a hard process to remove courses from the scope)
- * If you are deleivering accredited modules within a pre accredited course/class, make sure your modules are registeredwith NTIS
- * Do a pre audit. Many centres are spending money to get a consultant out to audit the books before the auditor gets there. I've heard this is expensive but money well spent.
- * Ask around to your fellow centres who have been audited and how they went
- * Those who've been through audit, start thinking about compliance for AQTF 2010 as it is going to be very much more rigorous and will need years of prep.
